STEP Project
Support to Training and Employment Program for Women (STEP) has been sanctioned by Department of Women and Child Development, Government of India, New Delhi. The project is about to establish a Goat Rearing nucleus training farm and provide Goat Rearing Trainings to women from the target area. The project also has a provision of seed capital for the women who have completed their training. The project is to train total 600 women from the target area by forming their groups and allot seed capital to them. A Nucleus farm has already established at Donje Village of Pune District & more than 600 women has been trained and provided goat under the scheme.
CAPART
‘Strengthening Education in Human Values’, Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Human Resource Ministry, Government of India
Received a sanction of Scheme of ‘Strengthening Education in Human Values’ in May 2005 by the Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Human Resource Ministry, Government of India to undertake programmes for the children of class 5 to class 10 with the intention and objective of strengthening education in human values in various Vidyaniketan Schools of Pune Municipal Corporations. The aim of the programme is to inculcate the Human Values in School going students to stop violence and make them a kind human being. The programme involved activities like Students workshop on Personality Development, Life skill education, students and teachers workshop on environmental education, Student tours and tours for Teachers to create awareness of nature/environment.
Swawlamban (NORAD) Scheme, Department of Women & Child Development, Government of India
A Swawlamban (NORAD) Scheme for Beautician Training Program has been sanctioned by Department of Women & Child Development, New Delhi through Mahila Arthik Vikas Mahamandal in November 2004.
Promotion of Youth Activities and Training, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India
Received a sanction for ‘Promotion of Youth Activities and Training – Training in Computers’ from the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, New Delhi in May, 2003.
Creche
This is a long-term activity Organization was implementing for last few years. The organization was running two crèches with the support of Maharashtra State Social Welfare Advisory Board, Women and Child Development Ministry, Maharashtra State. Both the crèches had the capacity of 60 children each. Four staff was looking after the children and also providing them with supplementary food.
Computer Training Programme
Extremely appreciated activity by the people from target area of Dyan-Deep is it’s Computer Training Programme. It has been constantly running activity of the organization with very good response from beneficiaries. Since last 15 years the organization has been running computer training programs. The organization has started this activity with its small computer lab at Shukrawar Peth area and at present the organization has 12 well-established computer labs at various locations throughout the Pune district and has been imparting computer trainings to poor, needy rural youths. These trainings are provided either free of charge or with much marginalized fees. This year 225 trainees took benefit of the Computer Training Programme. Trainees between age group of 16 to 35 years participated in the programme. The eligibility criteria for the course was minimum S.S.C. pass or onwards and those poor youth are selected for the training who have not able to get opportunity of training under any other Government Programme. The organization has received more than 150 computer as a donation from various corporate like Glaxo Smithckline Pharmaceuticals Ltd. , Persistent Systems Ltd., Dhirubhai Ambani Foundation, Tech Mahindra where as ONGC and some other donors like Bank of Maharashtra, State Bank of India has supported organization with either computer tables, computer chairs and other required furniture items.
Rashtriya Mahila Kosh, New Delhi
Started 200 Self Help Groups and received a sanction for a loan of Rs. 5.00 lacs from Rashtriya Mahila Kosh (RMK), New Delhi. Till today received and disbursed a loan of Rs. 2.50 lacs in the Self Help Groups for self-employment and fully recovered from SHGs and deposited back to RMK in Sept. 2007
