MSME TREAD (Trade Related Entrepreneurship Assistance & Development) for Women, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India,

This is a skill development and economic empowerment training programme for women, supported by Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India ‘Trade Related Entrepreneurship Assistance & Development (TREAD) for Women’ for Poor deserted women and women from poor headed families.

The main objectives are as under:

• a) To improve life skill and entrepreneurship skill to promote their family income and living standard.
• b) To develop contact with stake holder and enhance bank linkage.
• c) To ensure better living standards through bargaining for accessing basic amenities in their respective settlements.
• d) To improve their human resources and equip them to set up income generation self employment unit.
• e) To educate them to find market for the product and develop the sale of them.
• f) To facilitate micro finance services for the sustainable run in distress, deserted women and women headed families in both rural and urban on mitigation of poverty and to enable them to remove.
• g) To facilitate the collective activities among above said women and to promote saving and thrift culture for their own self reliant.
• h) To lead them towards dignity life through women right based approach.

The project had total target of training 1000 poor deserted women and women from poor headed families from Pune district within the project duration and place or start self employment after completion of training. We have given training to 1362 women.
