BEAUTY TRAINING PROGRAMME

Godrej Salon-i Beauty Training Programme is an ambitious initiative of Godrej Consumers Products Ltd. with having an aim of training 1 million women from whole India. Dyan-Deep Jankalyan Foundation in association with Godrej Consumers Products Ltd. has 24 Godrej Salon-i Beauty Training Centers. Godrej Salon-i Beauty & Hair Care Training Programme is run for housewives & girl students with a very reasonable course fee. The Programme is conducted to educate girls and women so that they can utilize these parlor skills in getting employed or starting their own business in beauty care sector. The first batch has been started on 18th March 2013 and by the end of March 2019 total 4581 (1992 BPL) number of trainees has been completed their training.

The Beauty Training will enable them to act as a supportive member for their family income. As a family supportive member, other family members will take her opinion in taking major family decisions. Once she enters in this decision making process it will boost her confidence and encourage her to take active part in other similar activities. Even though some of them are not starting their own business or getting employed in any beauty salon/parlor or spa and they are just using these skills for themselves and saving their monthly parlor expenses. This will save their monthly parlor expenses and this saving is nothing but an earning for them which they can spend on other important stuffs.

The programme is being getting implemented at 25 various locations of Pune and Satara districts and the training has been getting conducted by trainers, trained by Godrej Salon-i team and works with a setup provided by Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. The organization is also providing assistance to the candidate who has completed the course successfully in getting employment or starting their own beauty parlor business.
